MORNING AT SOUTH MOUNTAIN WINERY

Thanks to new friend and artist buddy, Jodi who I met at an event at Santa Paula Art Museum, for inviting me to explore and paint this secret location one morning with her. Nestled in an orchard off South Mountain Road in Santa Paula this winery, Clos des Amis (circle of friends), is housed in an old adobe building under this incredible pepper tree. The light streaming, casting long gorgeous shadows. Off in the distance Santa Paula Peak, which I've hiked over often.

The name of the winery #closdesamis translates to "small circle of friends". Very appropriate I'd say. I know they sell their wine at the Santa Paula Farmers Market on Fridays.
